In Loving Memory of Sharon Esther Seeley

1949 – 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Sharon Esther Seeley, who passed away peacefully at age 75, with her husband and sons at her side, and her daughter close in heart and spirit.

Sharon dedicated her life to caring for others both as a lifelong nurse and as a deeply compassionate woman of faith. Together with her husband, she served as a missionary in Ecuador for 14 years, where they adopted and raised their three children. Upon returning to Canada, she continued her nursing career at Parkwood Hospital in London, Ontario.

Known for her quiet strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith, Sharon touched countless lives. She gave freely to those in need, often opening her home and heart to others. Her love of travel took her and her husband, Brian, around the world, where they spread kindness and compassion wherever they went.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Brian Seeley; her children, Diana, David, and Michael; her grandsons, George and Charles; her beloved older brother, David McMichael; and many loving extended family members and friends.

Her legacy of kindness, service, and faith lives on in all who knew her. We cherish the memories and the time we shared with her. Sharon’s strong faith was a guiding light throughout her life, and we take comfort knowing she is now at peace, embraced by the love of her Lord in heaven.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest City Bible Church. All who knew Sharon are welcome to join us in remembering and honouring her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Forest City Bible Church in Sharon’s memory.

To Brian and Sheron’s children and family, our deepest condolences. We are sorry hearing of my dear friend Sharon. Sheron was just a beautiful soul that loved the Lord with all her heart. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace. Be comforted!

What a wonderful legacy of faith is a vital part of Sharon's life and testimony. Doris and I had the privilege of sharing in the lives of the Seeley Family for the 23 years we lived in London. It was my privilege to be Sharon's pastor and to know her family. To see her example of faithful service passed on from her parents and aunt. To observe her loving care for her in laws. To learn of her abilities and gifts, to teach, to lead, to support, to encourage, to give unselfishly, while always thinking of others. Sharon was a priceless gem in the kingdom of God and is now receiving her reward for a life well lived and a job well done. Brian, our hearts go out to you and the family. We send our love and prayers. Pastor John and Doris Thompson

Sharon was a dear sister and child of God, who loved the Lord and His people with all her heart, soul, mind and strength. She was exuberant with joy, even through trials and she truly loved to share God's word and exemplified the abundant life we can have in Jesus. Dear Brian, Diana, David, Michael and all your loved ones. While you miss Sharon here on earth, we pray you experience abounding grace, comfort and encouragement in the Holy Spirit, knowing Sharon completed her purpose here on earth and is safe with King Jesus who loves us most. Our hope is in the resurrection of our bodies and until we meet again... With much love, hugs and prayers, Nick and Veenet

I was so shocked to hear of Sharon's passing. My heart is saddened with this news. Please know, Brian, that I will be praying for you. It is so difficult to lose a spouse and moreso when it happens so suddenly. Heaven becomes much sweeter when we lose our spouse. What a day of reunion when we get Home and are with our loved ones again.

When she promised, along with all of Forest City Bible Church, to help raise me to love the Lord at my dedication and Baptism, Mrs. Seeley followed through, and I am so grateful to God for allowing me the privilege of being her student, her fellow healthcare worker, and her friend. From her I learned so much about the merciful character of Jesus: how he meets people where they’re at and welcomes them with open arms. She taught me that even when life doesn’t go the way we hoped, the Lord’s plan is always better - even when the plan takes us halfway around the world. And she reminded me, through words of encouragement and love, of my identity as the beloved of the Lord, and how to take joy and delight in his word. I am so thankful to have known her. And although it is bittersweet to know that, if the Lord tarries (Maranatha, Lord Jesus!), it will be a while before I can give her a hug and tell her how much she has meant to me, that now she is in heaven getting a hug from Jesus and from all of the others who she loved so well while she was with us here on earth. My prayers are with the whole family, especially my dear Diana - may you be comforted by the Holy Spirit who gives perfect peace and hope to those who grieve. Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for sharing your heart with us through the love of your daughter, Sharon. “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭16‬:‭11‬
