Sharon Fay Rowe
April 4, 2021
Beloved wife, treasured mother, precious sister, and adored Nana; Fay Rowe passed away in her home on Easter Sunday, April 4th, 2021, at the age of 70. Fay was predeceased by her mother and father, James Garfield Sparkes and Mary Louise Sparkes; her sisters, Emmie Evans and Marilyn Keene; and her nephews, Ken Ash and Lloyd Ash. Though deeply saddened by the loss of her loving presence because of this sudden and early departure, Fay’s family are casting their griefs and sorrows on Jesus, according to Isaiah 53:4-5. In addition to her devoted husband, Glenn Rowe, and beloved daughter, Gillian Fritzsche, Fay’s absence is felt by her son-in-law, Ryan Fritzsche; cherished grandchildren, Olivia and Ethan; sister, Sylvia Ash (Don); brothers, Byron Sparkes (Sandra) and Carl Sparkes (Donna); nephews, Peter Ash (Chantal) and Rob Ash (Marc); niece, Denise Evans (Greg); nephew, Brad Evans (Emily); precious grandnieces and nephews, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Rebecca, Lauren, Grayson, Wyatt, and Levi; in-laws, Michael and Sally Fritzsche (and son Ben); and brother-in-law, Albert Evans (Emmie’s husband). Fay loved Jesus fiercely and shared that love with her grace-filled warmth, wit, and intellect with everyone with whom she came in contact. Born in Shearstown, Newfoundland, Fay spent 33 enjoyable years as an Elementary School Teacher. After retiring from teaching, Fay began writing, eventually becoming an award-winning author, writing a blog, and publishing three books about God’s integrity, God’s faithfulness, and the importance of sharing our God stories with our family and friends. Fay also traveled to speak at conferences, Sunday morning services, women’s meetings, and to enjoy a coffee with treasured friends, inspiring many to dig in deeper in their faith walk, to trust God, and to get to know His promises. A visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Monday, April 19, 2021, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Reservations are required to attend the visitation. A private burial will be held in Fay’s hometown of Shearstown, Newfoundland in a few weeks. A service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.

Dear Mr. Glenn and Family, May the Lord's peace and love flood your hearts during this time. Ms. Fay is with Jesus, Glory to God! What a gain to the cloud of witnesses! I pray that you continue to run your race even with joy. Know that you're in our prayers and have our support during this time of transition.
To Glenn, Gillian and family: 1 Corinthians 16:9 says a Great and Effectual door is opened. We believe Ms. Fay has stepped through into a great homecoming. And what a time to ascend!!! Though she may physically be absent here, her spirit lives on in heaven. What a time she must be having. The memory of her lives on in you and all of us. And what a great celebration it will be when you meet with her up there. We pray for strength and joy for you and your family during this time. Know that to live is for Christ and to die is gain. Nothing but victory here. Nothing but victory. Much love to you and your family.
Dear Glenn, Gillian and Family, We are still in shock...reeling in the disbelief of Fay's sudden passing. Those are our emotions in the 'natural', because she will be missed by her Church Family and forever holding a deep void in 'each' of your lives especially. Fay was such a beautiful, kind soul...'this' we all quickly realized upon meeting her... Moving onto what we 'know' as Christians because...THIS is where we take true comfort! It's in the 'knowing' where true refuge lies... Fay IS at peace and now in the complete realization of her Maker; the day we have all wondered and looked forward to - since the day we said 'yes' to Him! For now, we will leave you with Numbers 6: 24-26... May the Lord Bless you and Keep you... May the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious unto you... May the Lord turn His face toward you... And Give you Peace.... Because...with 'His Peace'...you can get through anything. Love and blessings, Your fellow Newfoundlander Barry and Joanne Penney Promise of Life Church
