Sheila Carole Lacey (née Patterson)

Peacefully on Monday, December 21^st, 2015, with her family by her side, at her residence at Richmond Woods Retirement Home, in her 101^st year.  Beloved wife of the late Jack Lacey (2002). Loving Mom of Sondra Lacey and Karen (Peter) Schwartz. Special Grandma of Heidi (Jamie) Lewis and Tanya (Dave) Johnston, and Great-Grandma of Anabelle and Christopher. Sheila will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Margot (1943), and by her brother Shirley Patterson. Sheila, first and foremost, was a homemaker, making family and home a first priority. She was a huge supporter and loving best friend of her husband, Jack. Sheila was an active member of the local IODE, and various church groups. Volunteering, caregiving, gardening and curling were her passions. Petite, but very determined, she set as her goal in later life to reach 100 years of age. Having reached 100, she set her sights on reaching 101. Very plucky as usual, she reached well into her one hundred and first year. Well done Mom! The funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, December 28^th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with visiting one hour prior. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery.  Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Sheila are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program.
