Sheila Marie Lucas

March 28, 2022

Peacefully went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 28, 2022, in her 71st year. Loving mother to Penny Edmonstone (Jeremy). Grandma to three grandchildren: Simon, Hannah and Isaiah, whom she dearly adored. Dear sister of Patricia Woefle (Jim), John Logel (Darlene) and Brenda Moffatt and aunt too many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband George Lucas; her parents Clarence and Theresa Logel; and her daughter Denice McCracken. Sheila was a kind, faithful and loving woman; vibrant with an infectious smile who touched the lives of many through her love for the Lord and her gift of prayer. A special thanks to the team at St. Joseph’s Palliative Care Unit –  Parkwood Hospital for the wonderful care provided to Sheila. A Celebration of Sheila’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Crossroads Alliance Church, 194552 Regional Road 119, Ingersoll. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “Open Heaven.” This ministry’s sole purpose is to Release Heaven on Earth – A core value close to Sheila’s heart.

To Sheila Hello from your brother In our younger days at home you and your 2 sisters were darn near the death of me. ( 3 against 1 ) I did get some payback. On a very cold mid winter day the 4 of us when across the street to a church. I convinced you to put your tongue onto the metal railing. Wham-- Stuck. Question, now is how do we get it off. Simple pull hard. Yes it worked but, lets just say Sheila tongue was tender for several days. Payback. Love you sis. Till we meet again. Brother John

Dear Penny & Jeremy, there’s no need to tell you what an amazing, thoughtful, and loving mother you had because you already know this. She definitely was the best. Simon, Hannah, and Isaiah, she was so proud to be your grandmother. I know you will miss her deeply but she will always be in your heart. We love you and pray that God will help you heal. Aunt Darlene & Uncle John

Hi Sheila, You have been more like a sister to me than a sister-in-law. We had a very special bond. You were always so cheerful even when I knew you weren’t feeling your best. I think I need to take lessons from you. Whenever I called you and it nearly wasn’t enough, you always answered, Hi Darlin, I will never forget these words and your amazing, contagious laugh. Whenever I think that I’m having a bad day I’ll stop and think about your laugh. Sheila, I loved you more than you knew. I will miss you but we will meet again. PS God, take care of this special angel. Darlene Logel
