Shirley Alma Bullas (née Neuman)

January 8, 2026

We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Shirley Alma Bullas (née Neuman) of London, Ontario on Thursday, January 8, 2026 in her 90th year. She will be lovingly remembered by son Christian and daughter-in-law Christine Bullas and her beloved grandchildren, Jaime, Jackson and Genevieve, whom she cherished most of all.

Shirley worked as a secretary for many years in healthcare before her retirement in the late ‘90’s. Shirley raised her son as a single mother and was determined to provide for him. Her entrepreneurial spirit had her create small side businesses that enabled her to buy a small home. She enjoyed going to garage sales for unique finds and selling them at local flea markets and antique shows.

Shirley was extremely thoughtful of others and very generous for someone of limited means. Her drive, strength and caring attitude are attributes that her family will remember dearly.

We wish to give special thanks to Linda, her long-time caregiver who was like a daughter to her. As well as Shirley’s close friend Darla, who stood by her through everything. Both Linda and Darla enabled Shirley to live in her apartment for as long as she possibly could. They were both very dear to Shirley.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted with Westview Funeral Chapel and Cremation Centre.

My deepest sympathies to Shirley’s family. I have such fond memories of her from my childhood. Every Christmas she would give my sisters and I tiny boxes with a loonie in them, and we cherished them. Her generosity continued throughout our teen years when she would welcome us in her home and share her antique finds. She was so kind and warm to us and will be missed.

Deepest sympathy to all the family. Shirley was a good friend to me and to Tom. She brought Tom along on her antique trips. We had many a good laugh at work even if some of our jokes backfired. I have very fond memories of Shirley.
