For Gary, you are one of the bravest, kindest and most generous men I have ever met; not only were you blessed to have had Stephanie in your life but she was blessed to have you. Life/love takes many twists and turns that cannot be predicted and fate has not been kind to either of you; but know that you love and loved Stephanie with your whole heart with special grace, honour, determination and compassion that canot be measured by time. I've been told that it doesn't matter so much what you do Gary, but what you do next, and you are such a wonderful example of that, faced with tremendous adversity you always did what you needed to do next and for that I am so glad to call you my friend and I believe Stephanie was a very lucky lady to have known that kind of love. Lisa Irwin

My continued and sincerest condolences to the family of Stephanie Smith. There are a few things in life that hurts us more than the death of a loved one. No matter how much time has passed there are times you think of your loved and it's as if it is yesterday. So may the "God of all comfort.." and "tender mercies" (2 Cor 1:3) continue to help you bear this through time. May the words "there is going to be a resurrection" found in Acts 24:14,15 bring you hope. Jesus himself confirmed this by resurrecting Lazarus for which the understanding words of pain in losing a loved one is found in the words "Jesus wept." (John 11:35; 11-14; 43,44) So take comfort in knowing you will have a chance to see your loved one again. Please read these scriptures in your Bible or online any day or time at jw.org. Sincerely
~ A Neighbor
