My deepest sympathy for the whole family. I am in total shock still. I knew Steve from way back when we were teenagers. Went to school together and also worked together at Burger King, first jobs. He had lots of hair back then. Lost touch for quite a while until good old facebook brings you back together again. I lost my Dad about 6 years ago and Steve and his Dad totally surprised me and showed up at the funeral. Steve's Dad worked with my Dad too at Ford. I ran into Steve here and there out of the blue and was always good to see him. Saw him just a few months back at a restaurant. He was leaving and I was coming and I was with my Mom and sisters. That was the last time I saw him. He always invited me to his hog roaster events too, but just was never my cup of tea, but I appreciated the invite. Always said happy birthday to me to on facebook. Such a loss for everyone. Dionne Knight & Nicola Knight Marshall

My deepest sympathy goes out to Steve's family and friends. I had the pleasure of meeting Steve this past summer when he did some work for me to help out my friend I'm currently caring for. The first time I met him I saw and felt the kindness of his soul .... a big guy with a big heart -- easy going and very helpful and kind. I was shocked and saddened to hear the news on Saturday and had a hard time coming to terms with it. A great man taken too soon. This poem might help to comfort. A Butterfly is Born A Caterpillar's journey ... As I sat and watched a caterpillar climb up on a rock I wondered what he'd say if he had a chance to talk Perhaps he'd say "how wonderful it would be if I could fly for I'd soar above these earthly things to a place up in the sky" "I would dance among the flowers and enjoy the fragrance there then I'd flutter off to parts unknown .... my wings light upon the air" "I'd fly so high above the trees where only God could see the freedom that these precious wings had given unto me" "Yes my life would be so wonderful if I had wings to fly for I'd soar above all earthly things to a place up in the sky" Well, this caterpillar moved along and left the rock behind inspired by his Vision he had his destiny in mind so he spun himself a small cocoon and with patience waited there believing God would find him .... he felt safe within His care and his faith was soon rewarded on one beautiful sunny morn when he woke to find his special wings --- this butterfly was born! Now I couldn't help but wonder where the caterpillar went and should I mourn his passing or celebrate this brave event For while it's true, it's sad that the caterpillar's gone We know he still is with us as the butterfly lives on. And so it is with you and me when it comes our time to fly Our wings will be there waiting in the blinking of an eye and we need not dwell in sadness but rejoice in what will be for our spirit like the butterfly through faith will too fly free .... written by Glori-Ann Hartman

My deepest sympathies! I remember your one birthday party Logan where your dad arranged attending the monster trucks at the Western Fair. As it would happen, there was a snow storm on the day of your party. I was afraid to drive and your dad very willingly offered to pick Noah up so that he could attend the party with you! I'll never forget it as it was very kind and thoughtful and meant a lot to Noah! I am so very sorry for your loss! Hugs to your family! Jennifer and Noah (Demelo)
