Mr. Steven Michael Matthews (SCOOTCH) of London, Ontario passed away suddenly on April 1st, 2021 at the young age of 31. He was the partner of Sherina Campbell sharing 3 years together.
Steven is survived by his parents: Anne and Gordon Matthews. Loving and caring father of both Atheena Matthews (Mother: Shiniqua Tobias) and Rogan Matthews (Mother: Sherina Campbell). Also missed by his great-grandmother Jean Mullan, grandmother Judith Matthews and uncle Darcy Matthews. Dear brother to Jesse and Carrie Matthews and uncle to Adriana, Kane and Jack. Predeceased by his grandfather Gordon Matthews Sr.
Steven was born in Strathroy, Ontario on September 24, 1989 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. He attended Thames Secondary School in London and worked as a carpenter throughout the Middlesex area.
Steven was a hard-working and devoted father to both of his children. He enjoyed playing guitar, spending time with loved ones and going on adventures. His upbeat and quirky personality truly separated him from a crowd. Always with a smile on his face and eager to make the best out of poor situations. Steven had strived to provide for his family and maintained a goal driven mindset.
Steven will be truly missed by his family, friends and loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. Registration is required to attend.
