I am so sad to hear of his passing. A flood of memories are coming back to me as I write this, a lot of them are during my hockey and ringette days when he was Alicia and I's assistant coach. So long Stewie, thanks for the great memories.

My heart goes out to each and every one of Stewart's family, and to Jacqui. I will remember him as a loving and attentive grandpa, so proud of Cadence, who brought him so much joy.

~ Barb Kaye

I had met Stewart and Jacqui together a few years ago. More recently we met at LRCP. Stewart always made certain to greet me coming in and let me know when he was leaving. As always Jacqui I send my regards and sympathy to you and Stewart's family. I was honoured to have met him.

~ Heather Wright

I am so sad to learn of Stewart’s passing, and at such a young age. I knew him as a classmate at Montcalm Secondary School in London, ON; a fellow Montcalm Cougar Champion! My heartfelt condolences to his family, and to everyone who will grieve the loss of this special man in their lives. May Stewart now Rest In Peace in his Heavenly home. With Sympathy, Barb McLeod, Former President, Montcalm Spirit Club

We are sad to learn of Stewart’s passing. I was a bridesmaid at his wedding in 1983 and our growing families spent time together for a time, before life took us in different directions. We remember Stewart fondly. Our sincere condolences to all of his family.

My memories of Stewart were from high school. His kindness and patience made him a true friend to many.

Stewart was my cousin. Although our families didn’t see each other frequently (distance) we enjoyed a family bond in that we loved and cared about each other’s wellbeing. Gordon as I knew him had a sparkle in his eye, some might say mischievous but I truly believe that was the love coming out. My heartfelt condolences to his family. Judith Hooper

My deepest condolences to Jacqui and Stewart's family. I've known Stewart for many years, but only got to know him better the last few years. We so enjoyed spending time with him and there was so much more we wanted to do with him. Sadly, that was not to be, but I have many fond memories of times with him and Jacqui to cherish. Lifting you all up in thoughts and prayer.

I have fond ‘teenage’ memories of Gordon. I send a donation to the children’s hospital in his memory as enjoyed his friendship in our youth! I am praying for his family during their loss.

I am so sorry to hear of Stewart’s passing, such a sad loss for his family. He was such a friendly, happy guy and always went out of his way to spark up a conversation whenever he saw me. Rest peacefully Stewart. 💔

Stewart and I were good friends for a long time. I'm deeply saddened that he is gone way too soon. Among other things, I'll really miss our Habs versus Leafs bantering. Jennifer and I send our deepest sympathies to the entire family, Jacqui and Donna.

I briefly knew Stewart “Magic” through Jacqui and his participation via Zoom in the Life in the Spirit group that he so courageously participated in. A Baptist amongst mostly Catholics - he rocked! Covid made any face to face meeting not occur until months later when lock down ended and he came to mass with Jacqui (I was convinced that he would be a convert one day) and I finally met him. What a handsome man! I so wanted to know him more. Not because he was handsome - although that was definitely a bonus - but because through his commitment to Jacqui and to Christ and how important that was for him and how he wanted that for his children he was definitely someone that I could learn strong values of courage and faith from. When someone is called Magic you somehow believe that they really will magically defy all odds. Clearly God had a different and much better plan. My heart still is broken for Jacqui, though and prays for peace and comfort for his family.

My deepest condolences to the family of Stewart. I have known him for only a short time and the first time we met I knew that he was a quality guy. Rest in peace!!!
