I, too, got to race with Stirling a.k.a Pops at FTRL. He would always say hi when he came in to our room. He was a pretty darn good racer and a great guy to be around. It really breaks my heart to hear he won't race with us again. It just won't be the same without him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Stirling was a one-of-a-kind.

Even though we have never met "Pops" in person, we at FTRL Online Racing League will miss him deeply. Stirling raced with us almost every week and was very respected by his peers. He was not only a good racer but a fine gentleman. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family. God Bless. Though his checkered flag has dropped here on earth.... The green flag waves for his eternal journey, RIP Pops.

~ Ken Hayes (FTRL Admin)

We are sorry to hear about the passing of your father. I had not seen him since we were all youngsters out at the farm in Vibank. It is unfortunate how one loses touch, when we all live so far apart. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

~ Linda Kropf ( nee Meisel )

Jim & Cindy, I was deeply saddened to hear of your father's passing. I have some great memories of spending time with Stirling during my childhood, growing up in the '70s on Sorrel Road and spending hours with your dad talking about two-way radios. He very unselfishly helped me set up my own radio and antenna. I've never forgotten his kindness. Beth and I are thinking of you.

~ Jeffrey Reed

Our deepest sympathy to you Jim and Cindy and families. We are thinking of you during this time of great sorrow.

~ Dolores and Edwin Hoffman

To Jim, Cindy and family. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. It is a shame that we all grow so far apart as we all go on with our own lives. It has been many, many years since I have seen your dad through visits to the farm, we were all youngsters then, and unfortunately never got to know your mother. Even though you have many great memories of your lives together, my heart goes out to you. One never forgets.

~ Louise Horack ( nee Meisel)

Dear Jim and Cindy My most heartfelt sympathies to you and your families at the loss of both of your parents. May God be with you and give you strength at this trying time. Stirlings cousin - Joan (nee Meisel)

~ Joan Wiatrowski

You'll do alright working because his presence will always be there to help guide you the way. You two had something special~~the bond we could only wish for. Stay strong and let the great memories live on. Sending our deepest sympathy Don Campbell

~ Don Campbell and Family

We were so shocked and sorry to hear about Stirling. He's the first cousin I have a memory of, back in Regina Saskatchewan. He held my hand as we walked to get an icecream cone. I remember him as a boy, a young man and a grandfather. He was a fine, strong, loyal man. We send all our deepest sympathy to his family.

~ Cheryl and Pino Creatore

It is with a sad heart that I received the news of Stirling. I admired him in many ways, his strength of character, honesty, and ethics. I especially enjoyed his fascinating stories regarding his past. He will be missed, but never forgotten. Also, my wishes of sympathy to Cindy and her family. Greg

~ Greg Millar

To Jim & Cindy , You probably don't remember us but you visited with your grandmother in Regina many years ago. We wish you peace and strength in your time of sorrow. Love Lloyd & Sandra

~ Lloyd & Sandra Elliott

I am sorry for your loss. I never actually got to meet your father but heard much about him from Anne, whom was my hairdresser for many years, since I was a young girl. I recently found out that Anne had also passed away late last year. The world will be missing two very awesome people! My thoughts and prayers are with you. Brenda
