Tanya Ruth Belanger

January 23, 1960 - June 27, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tanya Belanger, who passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, at the age of 66, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

Tanya was the beloved wife of Richard Roberts for 43 amazing years. An exceptionally devoted mother to Shawn (Allison), Tyson (Brittany), Lindsay (Justin), Raelyn (Julian), a proud and devoted grandmother to Braedon, Cameron (Madi), Makayla, Noah, Avery, Mila, Shayla, Haylee and Kyla, a cherished daughter to Bea and Jack, adored sister to Carla and the late Jonathon (Kiyoko), sister-in-law to Brenda (Karen), Bonnie (Wayne) and Mark. Loving aunt to Lacey, Alyssa, Chantée, Isaac, Bryan (Niki), and a very special person to Cheryl, Dawnya and Steve, and many other friends and family members. Predeceased by her grandparents Ina Perry, Gordon Perry, Matilda Belanger, and Louis Belanger.

To know Tanya was to know unconditional love. She had the biggest heart and always put everyone else’s needs before her own. She always worried about those she loved and even extended her care to strangers in need that she had never met, not because she had to, but because caring for others was simply who she was. Her big heart full of kindness, compassion, and selfless nature touched everyone fortunate enough to know her or cross paths with her.

Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was the most amazing wife, mom, grandma and person who always offered a listening ear, comforting hugs, words of encouragement or advice, and endless love without judgement. She created the most loving home where everyone knew the door was always open, the home was always filled with warmth, laughter and memories that will be treasured forever. Her family was the most beautiful legacy she ever created and the heart of her life and she loved everyone with all she had.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in our strong family she created, helping hold each other up during this difficult time. Her love will forever guide us every day, her memories will live in us forever, and her beautiful heart will never be forgotten.

A service will be held at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at 3:00 p.m.  As we are all devastated about this, let’s come together to honour Tanya, remember her and celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers or to those wishing to make a donation in memory of Tanya, you are asked to consider making a donation to the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre at LHSC and/or Addiction Services of Thames Valley.

Our deepest condolences to the entire family. Rick and I grew up together. We met Tanya not long after Sherry and I started dating. Rick was the best man at our wedding. We had a great vacation with both Rick and Tanya in Jamaica back in the 80s along with our buddy Bill Wallis who has also passed. Hang onto all our wonderful memories 🙏🙏❤️❤️

Tanya & I graduated Grade 8 at Oxford Park Elementary School. I remember her as always happy, smiling & laughing. She had lots of friends and was the most gorgeous girl in the class in my opinion. Lost touch over the years but I was very pleased to read she had a wonderful happy life. Heaven certainly gained an Angel. My deepest condolences to her family & friends.

My heart is broken for Rae, Linds, Mikayla, Rick, and family. Sending you so much love & prayers during this difficult time. I hope you find comfort in knowing she’s always with you—in the little moments, memories, and everything she poured into your lives. She will always be close, watching over her family, which was always what mattered most to her. She truly was like a second mama to me. The sweetest lady with the kindest heart. Dearest family, sending you my deepest condolences and all my love. I know you’ll miss her inconsolably and forever this was far too soon and far too young. Know that you’re strong and your family ties will help you along this journey of loss. I too will miss her unconditional love, her commitment to family and her chaos of kids that kept her home full of life. May Gods grace comfort you and may my hugs remind you how much you are all loved.
