Of Port Stanley; formerly of London and Copper Cliff. Sadly, our family announces the passing of this wonderful woman on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at 58 years of age. Loving partner and best friend of Don Kinchen. Beloved mother to Derek Johnstone (Tara Singh) of Toronto and Alex Middel (Tyler Gibbs) of London. “Nannie” will be sadly missed by her cherished grandchildren Fynn, Piper, Grayson and Kyla. Also survived by dear sister Susan Lawson (Randy) of Sudbury, special nephew Connor McDonald of St. Thomas, step-daughter Danielle Ramage (Graham Phair) of Vancouver, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by first husband Daniel Johnstone; sister Kelly McDonald; brother Greg McDonald; and parents George and Joyce McDonald. Tracy remained stoic and endured her lengthy illness with the strength, grace and dignity that she had always possessed. She will stay lovingly in our hearts and memories forever. Her unwavering love and devotion to family and friends was an inspiration to all who knew her. Always working hard to provide for her family, Tracy spent many years in London within the retail clothing industry. She also had her own consignment store ‘The Clothesline’; opened ‘The Flying Pig’ restaurant; and later became a travel agent. Many thanks to the London Regional Cancer Program, Community Care Access Centre and St. Joseph’s Hospice (London). Special thanks to Dr. Richard Inculet. Visitation will be held on Tuesday between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in Tracy’s memory to St. Joseph’s Hospice (London), Ronald McDonald House, SickKids Foundation or the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family.

My deepest condolences to Tracy's family and friends. Our families grew up together in Copper Cliff and our parents were great friends. Tracy and her family endured many losses. Tracy was always a beautiful, friendly and caring person and she will be dearly missed. Although, I hadn't seen Tracy in years, we became Facebook friends. I still fondly remember her and the good times growing up in Copper Cliff. Rest in Peace, Tracy. Your mom, dad, Kelly and Greg are waiting for you with open arms.
Condolences to Tracy's Family. I am saddened by the news of Tracy's passing. Tracy is a life long friend. We walked to school together each day as we grew up in Copper Cliff. She always had a wonderful and refreshing perspective on life. She has been in my life in some capacity ever since. Tracy cared deeply for everyone in her life. She is a strong woman who touched us all as a caring daughter, sister, friend, partner, mother & Nanna. We are all better for having known her. She will always be here with us, in our fond memories. It is with a heavy heart that I express my sympathy to Don and all of Tracy's family. Having grown up with her and been friends for decades .. through all of the good and bad .. I am truly sadden. My heart goes out to Tracy's family. She has been taken from you too soon. I was fortunate to enjoy a visit with Tracy and Don at their home in May of 2010. Susan, Tracy and I spent our years from childhood through our teens as friends in Copper Cliff. Even though we lose loved ones, our memories of them remain. Love Margie

Derek, I had the pleasure of meeting your Mother when you were a teenager and best friend of my son Adam. During those years I came to love you as a son, and witnessed the genuine love of a Mother for her son and daughter! She was always wearing her love for you on her sleeve and expressed all her confidence in your dreams, and abilities to become the very fine man you are! She was and will always be proud to call you her son! There was no truer love of a Mother than Tracy's for you and her family.. My most heartfelt sadness is not an adequate term to express the enormity of your loss, I know...but you were dearly loved by your wonderful Mother May you meet again❤️
