Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London, on Sunday, March 10, 2019, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Ross McFarlane. Loving mother of Ron (Jan), Bob (Brenda) and Ann (Darrell). Adored grandmother of Nikki (Trevor), Cindy (Colin), Jenny (Bryan), Paula (Jake), Carla (Jeff), Kevin (Sarah), Brent (Katie), Greg, Ian (Lee), Nick (Olivia), Bryanna (Raj) and Everett. Dear great-grandmother of Maddi, Benett, Ella, Jack, Julia, Dylan, Nora, Rylan, Tatum and Dori Mae. Velda Mae loved to “drop in” on friends and family and visit. She enjoyed golfing, shopping, dining out and water aerobics. Above all, she cherished the moments she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation two hours prior. Private interment of cremated remains at Beechwood Cemetery, Forest, Ontario, at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Velda Mae are asked to consider St. Joseph’s Hospice, London.

Family was the everlasting joy of my dear friend Velda's life. My sincere condolences to each and everyone of you. Velda and I shared many a golf game with much laughter. How fortunate were WE to have Velda touch our lives.
My sincere condolences to Velda's entire family. I originally met Velda through the Newcomers Group here in London, played dominos with her, as well as golfed with her. She was also in my aquafit classes. Shared Florida stories! Velda always had a ready smile, enjoyed a good laugh and was such a fine lady. She will be truely missed by her many friends.
I enjoyed Velda,s company while exercising at The. Aquatic centre in London. We also had good visits at coffee. She shared so many good Memories about her family and her holidays . I will really miss her. I am in Estero, Florida for. The winter so I will miss her service but will keep her in my thoughts that day. My love to her Family, Nancy Lawton

Velda my dear friend is gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever she is, she will always be in my heart She was truly an incredible friend, full of love, sincerity, and joy. She will be immensely missed.

I am one of Velda's neighbours. When I moved in, she was the first person I met in the building; she was very nice from the moment we met. Velda was a lovely lady and she dressed beautifully. I certainly told her enough times! I enjoyed visiting her and I will miss her greatly. My condolences to her family. Ala.
