Bill, John, Jeffry, Suzanne, Eileen, Tom and all the family. Verla was like a second mother to me when I moved next door with a 6 week old baby. She brought food, offered her washer/dryer and was always there to help/give advice over the years. She would come over to reassure if I wondered if the kids were sick. She taught me to crochet, make jam and there was always a cup of tea and friendship. There are two little sets of mitts hanging on my Christmas Tree that she made. I am thinking of all of you, especially you Bill. I will really miss her and wish I could be there to celebrate Verla's life. With love and sympathy, Helen

Verla loved having her boys around and getting to know all of their friends. Bill and Verla took great delight in watching the journey of their boys grow from discovering teenagers to the responsible and kind adults they are today. Bill, John & Jeff.....Verla gave you a gift that can never be taken away and that is the gift of memories. Cherish those happy memories as you move through the days ahead. To the Luxton Family, our thoughts are with you. The Heaven Family

Verla, like Irene, were "moms" to all us boys. Always making sure that the path we chose, was always straight and true, and even when we seemingly deviated, was there with love and guidance that allowed us all to grow to the men and fathers we are today. Whether it's the fond memories on Palmtree or at the Wharf, her memory will never be forgotten. To Bill, Johnny and Lux, and to the rest of the family, our deepest condolences in your time of sorrow. She'll always have a place in our hearts.
