My deepest condolences to Qi, and to Ellen and Julia. Weiping was always friendly, warm, and a genuinely great person to be around. My thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.

Over the past six years, I have come to know Weiping as a mentor, a colleague, a leader and a coach, a support and a role-model, a fellow problem-solver and a friend. If there is one word I could use to describe his professional life, it's that he lived with Integrity. He never asked anything of anyone that he wasn't first willing to do himself. He was driven to dig deep to find the source of problems, and wasn't satisfied until things were done right. He led with his actions, was true to his word, and was uncompromisingly honest. I am a better manager, a better co-worker and a better person having worked with him, and I am truly going to miss him and his consistent encouragement that we can, and we will, get over the next challenge. Weiping, you've left a lasting imprint on the people and workplace at J.D. Power and I only wish I had had the opportunity to tell you in person how grateful I am. Thank you, and may God bless you in heaven, and watch over and comfort Qi, Ellen and Julia in their loss.

It was a privilege of mine to work with Weiping for 6 years at EK3. I remember every interaction I had with him being so pleasant. Extending my thoughts and prayers to Qi, Ellen, Julia and all of Weiping's loved ones. May you rest in peace while you watch over your family from above, Weiping.

Dear Weiping, I’m still struggling to believe that you’re no longer with us... I first heard your name through the SA mentorship program. People spoke of you as “the best Scrum Master they’d ever worked with”. A year later, I had the privilege of working with you, and I saw firsthand the care, dedication, and humility you brought to everything you did. Even as a junior BA, I always felt seen and supported by you. You backed me up, offered guidance, and even after I left the company, you still took the time to help. You’ve been an amazing role model and mentor. I will always remember your kindness, and I hope to carry it forward.

~ Summer Shao

I was able to learn and grow in the development world thanks to your help and direction Weiping. I enjoyed our times together and wish the best for your family.

Dear Weiping, its hard to believe you’re gone. We had known each other for more than 20 years. We had so many happy times in London, in Canada and in California, as if they were yesterday, but you are gone, forever. Though you’ve left this world too soon, your warmth, smile and spirit remains: in the memories we share, in the people you’ve touched, and in the quiet moments when we still feel your presence beside us. Rest in Peace!

Weiping, you will be missed. You always had a smile. I found out recently Confucius refers to a smile as a sign of virtue, sincerity and a gesture of building trust. An apt description of the Weiping I knew. Qi, have courage and strength as you try to navigate the most challenging days ahead. Ellen and Julia be comforted knowing your Dad will be watching and guiding from above. Elizabeth Mullins

Weiping was a lovely person to work with and to chat with. I spent some time with him at a seminar back in June and he spoke so lovingly of his twin daughters and his wife. He was quiet but very funny, he did a skit on coaching his daughter's soccer. The last day of the seminar was his birthday, we sang Happy Birthday to him! My deepest sympathies on your loss.
