William “Bill” James Edward Hevey

August 17, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we sadly announce the passing of Bill Hevey, beloved husband for 51 years to Debbie (née Prosser). Always proud father of Samantha  Cornell (Mike) and April Heseltine (Chris). Loving “Papa” to grandchildren Aubrey, Byron, Isla and Ethan. Not to be forgotten by his best friend, Mike Luck.

Bill was always an old car enthusiast, mostly an old car builder. He will be sadly missed by members of the Forest City Street Rodders and all others who knew Bill and his infinite love of all street machines!

All are welcome to a Celebration of Life on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London.

Debbie and Family, Sorry to hear about the passing of Bill. We learned of his passing this morning from Peter's oldest daughter, Cherie Twamley. We remember seeing Bill at the "Country Cruising" event many years ago which was held at the Plunkett Estate. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Bill Hevey… aka Sparky, aka Crusty My best friend and my older brother I never had For 35 years we’ve been the best of friends watching our kids and families grow Spent countless adventures cruising the countryside with friends, going to car shows, swap meets and club meetings If we weren’t driving the cars we were building them Bill had a real knack of connecting with anyone that was interested in this massive following of this hobby He was a person who spoke his mind (Crusty) but never mentioned any ill will to anyone I will miss you my friend It will be difficult not having you around to talk to…. I hope that when it’s time for me to leave this place that we will meet again Peace be with you always my brother Bill

~ Mike Luck

Always smiling, welcoming and a helpful hand. His knowledge on street rods impeccable. A joke or two at the ready. You have won a place in our hearts and many memories in our minds. There must be a street rod in Heaven waiting for you Bill. Get to work my Friend.

My condolences to Debbie and family. It was shocking to hear of Bills passing. His kind spirit and love of the car world will be remembered. I saw him often sharing time and coffee with Debbie. He was always willing to share his knowledge and help with car problems. May the coming days bring peace , comfort and good memories to the family.
