ROBERTS, William Pirie – Suddenly at his residence on Saturday, August 18, 2012 in his 77th year. Beloved husband for 52 years of Elsie Roberts. Loving father of Cheryl Knieriem (Steve) of Strathroy and Nancy Johnston (Jim) of P.E.I. Proud Grandpa of Scott, Eric, Mark, Will and Keith. Sadly missed by his good friend and colleague Lory Moro. William is predeceased by his parents Scotty (1972) and Lizzy (1991) Roberts. William was a proud London Police Officer for 29 years. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Oakland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of William are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

Elsie, We are saddened to learn of your loss of Bill, and offer our sincerest sympathy to you and your family. May you have the strength to bear your great sorrow. On behalf of the Master and members of Centennial Lodge #684- I send my condolences to the Family of Bro. William ( Bill ) Roberts. As a Member of our Lodge - he will be missed. A moment of silence will be observed at our next Lodge meeting in his memory.
