Gram, throughout my life I have heard much about how special a person you were. I have heard countless stories involving you from Desi's childhood, and it was apparent you were a very intelligent, knowledgeable person who had a strong love for your family. I only wish I could have gotten to know you as a person more. Best of luck through your journey; you'll be in our thoughts. Love you lots.
Linda.....I am at a loss for adequate words to express my sadness for you. I had the blessed opportunity of knowing your mother....she was a very kind and caring person and I know that heaven has received one of the most special angels. I am so sorry for your loss and my it help knowing that others share with you in your loss......my thoughts and prayers are with all the family at this time.
Hey Gram, remember Z walked home unknowingly in your Reebok's, all of the way home? Or when Huey got his license and car and first thing he did was back into yours? Good times. Thanks for driving me around everywhere and being a great Grandmother. I wish you a peaceful journey, Gram. I love you =)

Grandmother, your journey through life has been at times very trying and arduous. Despite the difficulties you got an education in social services and made helping others your lifelong work. I am so proud to see all of your certificates and accomplishments. You have helped many people on their path to healing. You also helped family members whenever and wherever you could. I remember you driving me around on my paper route in the worst of winter storms and rainy days. Your love of nature and Native traditions is evident in all the beautiful artwork and crafts you collected. Your writings and gathering of family history shows your yearning for healing in our family and your sadness in it's disconnect. I will do my best to honour you by cherishing and fostering strong family ties. We Love, Honour and Respect you Grandmother Yvonne. You will be strong in our hearts forever and always.... Linda, Brandon, Desmond, Avalon, Nicole, Iris, Donna, Donald and families all miss you and keep you in their hearts Gram. We Love you.
~ Desmond
